Hello!

And welcome to my little virtual home.

My name is Emily Avenson.

I am a farmer-florist, outdoor enthusiast, and plant-dyed silk ribbon maker. You most likely know me as the creative catalyst behind Fleuropean. Born and raised in urban California, I turned to nature as a way of growing new roots after finding myself settled in rural Belgium. Working the ground and getting my hands dirty, I found a friend in Mother Nature. What started out as casual courtship soon grew into a full-blown love affair, and I found myself sowing and growing a carefully curated color palette of blooms.

I am constantly experimenting with new textures and color combinations. Each new season brings fresh adventures, an invitation to dig deeper into the world of gardening, floral art, and photography.

It is this combination of creative outlets that keeps me growing both personally and professionally, and I can’t wait to share my enthusiasm for all things floral with you!

Meet the Venue

Château Wodemont is a historical estate hidden within 50 hectares of rolling green pastures, babbling brooks, and fairy tale-like forests. With roots dating back to the 11th century, the property has thrived through many different époques, experienced medieval magic, and eventually grown to accommodate modern-day life.

The 7 spacious bedrooms each feature an en-suite bathroom. While the amenities may have been modernized to suit today’s standards, the château’s unique charm and undeniable authenticity remain.

Meet the Gardens

Tucked on the outskirts of Belgium, atop the rolling hills of a peaceful pastoral landscape, the secret gardens grow. A small flower field built to produce unique flowers carefully curated for floral artistry, each season brings a new surprise! Spring brings the very best of the beautiful bulbs, irises, and roses, while summer and autumn offer a rainbow of dahlias, fabulous fruits and veggies, and inspirational annuals.
