National Lonely Bouquet Day… Are You In?

Hey there flower friends!

It takes something special for me to post on the weekends… and special this is!

Together with Tjeu Severeens, a wonderful man who stumbled upon a Lonely Bouquet, I’m working toward creating a National Lonely Bouquet Day! The event will take place sometime in June, 2013 (exact date yet to be determined), and will basically involve a national movement of friends, neighbors… strangers (?!) who will gather flowers from their own gardens to anonymously give to others.

Tjeu presented this idea at the NNF (Natural Networking Festival) in Drenthe, where it gathered support from dedicated “networkers” nation-wide. Here you can see the video clip of his inspirational presentation:

Together, with your help, we hope to create a kind-spirited movement that will overcome boundaries (both social and geological). This movement is by no means limited to the Netherlands! Belgium… Europe… North America… everyone’s invited and encouraged to particate!

Thanks so much for taking a peek at this fun and exciting development, and I’ll keep you all posted! :)
