Hello there, friends!
I’ve been so excited to share some big news with you guys… but I’ve had to bite my tongue until the time was right. Well, that time is now. I can’t think of a better time to spill the beans and let you guys know about our big plans for next year!
A seed has been planted. Something new and exciting. Something I’ve never grown before… and it should be ready just in time for the start of spring! I hope this special flower will be healthy, shine bright, have a kind soul and a very unique identity of its own. It’s always a bit nerve wracking experimenting with something new, but a risk not taken is certainly a missed adventure. So we dove off of the deep end and gave this who baby thing a go! I’m happy to report that our flower child has reached the 16 week mark and is looking as healthy as ever.
So, you might be wondering who that special someone is for whom I made yesterday’s soft and sweet bouquet? Well, surprise! It’s me… or rather the little wonder growing inside of me.
Maybe you’ve spotted little signs in the more recent pictures, but I’ve been trying to keep the (slowly) expanding belly under cover. The last few weeks have kept my tummy growing, and it’s getting harder and harder to hide.
Judging from the ultrasounds, our little flower child is alert and ready for action! Booty bouncing and fist pumping seem to be its favorite pastimes. Yes, I’m saying “it” because the gender is still unknown. With splashes of pink and soft yellow scattered across the arrangement, I hope that the flowers were gender neutral enough for even a little boy… eek!
I’ll be spending the next few weeks with my family in California before heading back “home” for the holidays. Although I’ll only be blogging on and off during my Californian adventure, I’m looking forward to keeping up to date with all of the ongoing excitement via facebook. I can’t wait to keep you guys posted on all of the goings-on, both in the garden and in the tummy, when I get back! :)
Have a great day, and I’ll see you tomorrow for one last project before heading off to see my family!
